Here's to something new!
If you would rather listen, I’ve recorded this post for you!
It’s been over a year since I’ve shared my life in any sort of public sense. I’ve been fighting a battle with social media for a long time that has left me yo-yo-ing between being on and being off. My heart has been torn because
I love to write
I love the people I engage with
But the addictive nature of social media is one that I cannot ignore. The multi millions of dollars poured in to keep people scrolling is a hard one to combat simply by will power.
My child who stands at the brink of the teenage years is watching.
How will mom handle the iPhone?
Will she hold herself to the same standards of screen time as me?
Will she let likes and shares and people’s comments impact her life the way she’s so worried it will impact mine?
And so as a leader to my younger-than-me people, I have had to let go and allow the Lord to work on my heart and open new doors.
As this past year has come to a close I’ve felt the Lord lead me to try writing again, but this time simply for the people who desire to hear what he puts on my heart, without a website to manage and constant posting on social media.
My goal is simple: I want to encourage Jesus loving mamas who desire to embrace motherhood in all its fullness, specifically in a vocational way, and share inspiration for family, education and home.
If this resonates with you, then this is the place for you.
I believe with all of my heart that the world needs mothers to step up like never before. It’s time for us to respond to the call to mother with our whole hearts. And yet even though I personally know the God of the entire universe, I still find myself overwhelmed by the enormity of the task in front of me: shaping hearts and minds for eternity.
I know I’m not alone in this need to be reminded that we are created and fashioned for such a job and we are anointed for such a time as this.
Welcome. I can’t wait to go on this journey together!
